The NHL released the full 2014 NHL draft order on Thursday, and the Flyers will have six total selections.
Philadelphia holds the No. 17 overall pick (first round), the No. 48 overall pick (second round), the 138th overall pick (fifth round), the 168th overall pick (sixth round), and the 198th overall pick (seventh round). All told, there are 210 total picks.
The Flyers will also receive a conditonal draft pick from the Andrej Meszaros trade with Boston. That pick will either be the 56th overall (second round) or the 86th overall (third round), depending on if Meszaros re-signs with Boston before the draft. It’s the 56th if Mesz signs in Boston before next Friday. If Mesz re-signs after the draft, it’s the 86th overall this year plus Boston’s fourth rounder in 2015. If Mesz doesn’t re-sign in Boston at all, it’s just the 86th pick this year.
The Flyers traded away two picks in this draft — the 78th overall and the 108th overall — both to the New York Islanders. The 78th pick was part of the Andrew MacDonald trade, while the 108th was part of the trade to acquire Mark Streit last summer.
