Ten game winning streaks are bad luck, anyway

A quick game deserves a quick postgame.

The Philadelphia Flyers and Boston Bruins played an up-tempo game the whole way, and it showed in the time report. With the opening puck drop at 7:10, the game ended before 9:30, and the B’s two goals were the only scores in the contest.

Philly controlled play, dominated really, for the first 40 minutes, but Boston cashed in on a power play and Patrice Bergeron iced the game with less than six minutes left, delivering a shutout for Tuukka Rask on his birthday.

The streak is over, and now it’s all about the response. The Flyers looked, once again, like they can play with anybody in the league. They’ll get a chance to prove it once more on Thursday against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
