Yes, you’re going to hear praise for Jori Lehtera

The Philadelphia Flyers started off slow, continuing their season-long streak of surrendering the game’s first goal. But big efforts by Jakub Voracek (2G, 3A), Scott Laughton (2G, 5 shots on goal), Sean Couturier (1G, 24:11 TOI) and even Radko Gudas (3A) and Dale Weise (2A) lead the Flyers to a 7-4 victory over the Ottawa Senators at the Canadian Tire Center on Wednesday night.

The game got chippy, with each team racking up 24 PIM and seven power play opportunities, and the boys in orange and black came together to fend off a feisty Ottawa squad.

Listen to Bill on the Facebook Live postgame talk about Jori Lehtera stepping up, Calvin “Cal” Pickard’s 31-save victory, Nolan Patrick’s potential injury, and of course, Ian Laperrière’s failing penalty kill.
