The Philadelphia Flyers were looking to start fresh following the firing of Ron Hextall on Monday. It was Hockey Fights Cancer night at the Wells Fargo Center. The Flyers wore purple jerseys during pregame warm-ups, which will be auctioned off for charity. Travis Konecny opened the scoring, followed by goals from Jake Voracek and Radko Gudas. But a tough third period proved costly for Philadelphia, blowing a two-goal lead and losing 4-3 with Anthony Stolarz in net.
