Let\'s just all try to do that again. The Philadelphia Flyers are now visiting the Buffalo Sabres after hosting them in what should go down as an unearned loss since our favorite boys absolutely walloped the piss out of them. On Wednesday night, the Flyers just controlled every facet of the game except goals -- maybe the one that matters the most -- as they finished the game with a 40-15 lead in shots on goal and had almost 70 percent of the scoring chances. Simple domination. And, well, they lost 5-2. Carter Hart went down injured, some poor defensive reads that quickly got punished, and then the Flyers add another one in the loss column. But for most of us, these losses are just fine. If the Flyers can go on looking like the better team in the majority of their games but just lack the finishing touch and goaltending, leading them to a top-five selection in next year\'s draft, that is just peachy. Now, they\'re visiting the Sabres with a goaltender that has a .763 save percentage and the backup that can\'t even be an AHL starter. Fun! Oh, and Sean Couturier is also out day-to-day, so that most likely means Ryan Poehling is back in the lineup. After scoring eight in his first eight appearances, the Flyers\' top offensive weapon has been left off the score sheet. He has made seven shots on goal in that time and has been able to get some chances, but nothing has gone in. Now, maybe he will be able to pot one in Buffalo. Tage Thompson Of course, keeping a lookout for the Sabres\' top center is kind of easy. Especially since he is roughly 9-foot-5 on the ice. But he really loves playing against the Flyers. In 13 career games -- even including the times where he was actually pretty bad as a rookie and such -- he has scored seven goals and 11 points. Against Philadelphia, he has scored one goal on every four shots he takes. He loves it. We\'re so lucky we have such a recent game against this team to reference. While the Flyers certainly did get much more of the high-danger opportunities at home against the Sabres, it was from that area of the ice where Buffalo got all of its goals from. They made the entire team pay for the few times they got anywhere close to the net. It will be incredibly tough with Ersson back in between the pipes to put up another terrible performance, but let\'s just hope it\'s something different. How will Laughton and Brink bounce back? The only two players to not have a shot attempt at 5-on-5 on Wednesday were Scott Laughton and Bobby Brink. Now, Laughton was placed down on the fourth line with Frost back in the lineup and he will certainly be getting more ice with Couturier out in Buffalo, but how about Bobby? Can the dynamo young forward rejuvenate some of the Flyers\' lack of offense we have seen?
