The Two O’Clock Number

4 the sets of back-to-back seasons in which the Philadelphia Flyers have advanced to the second round or beyond since 1981.

  • 1994-1995 (Conf. Finals) and 1995-1996 (Conf. Semis)
  • 1995-1996 (Conf. Semis) and 1996-1997 (Cup Finals)
  • 2002-2003 (Conf. Semis) and 2003-2004 (Conf. Finals)
  • 2009-2010 (Cup Finals) and 2010-2011 (TBD)/

Between 1972-1973 and 1980-1981, the Flyers advanced beyond the first round every single year, which is just insane. The Flyers have advanced to the third round in consecutive seasons just twice in their history, back when they advanced to the Cup Finals in three straight seasons.
