*Okay so it is overwhelmingly likely that nothing will happen here, and Rod Brind’Amour will remain coach of the Carolina Hurricanes BUT yesterday a bunch of rumors dropped about his future with the organization being up in the air. [TSN]

*Canes GM Don Waddell is making it clear that he wants re-sign Rod, but given what we know about the Canes ownership, this is likely a purse-strings problem, if anything. [Sportsnet]

*You know who doesn’t have a cheap owner? JUST SAYING, IS ALL. Anyhoo, the Phantoms’ second round series against those Hershey Bears kicked off last night. Here’s a handy guide to the series if you’d like to follow along. [Flyers]

*We are continuing to look back at Flyers playoff games of years past, and this one combines so many of our favorite things, like beating the Rangers and Wayne Simmonds. [BSH]

*And finally, a heart-warming feature on old people, and how they can still do stuff. Inspiring. [ESPN]
