Thursday Morning Fly By: Trouble’s a’Bruin

*I will not apologize for that awful headline.

*We’ve got a game tonight against a team with a ridiculously good top line so this should go really well under the circumstances. Anyhoo, here’s Ron talking about lineup stuff and somehow telling us that the PK looks better. Everything is fine. [Flyers]

*This feels relevant: DGB on how NHL general managers don’t really get seconds chances anymore and it’s probably impacting the way your team is being run. [The Athletic]

*Let’s check in on the Phantoms, shall we? [BSH]

*Back to more great Flyers news: Michal Neuvirth is just about ready to come back! Joyous. This will fix everything. He’s going to get some reps in with the Phantoms before he’s back up here though so he’ll probably get hurt doing that and this will all be moot. [Philly.com]

*Prospect report! Morgan Frost continues to be amazing and it’s been a big week for The Germ and…Matthew Strome?? [BSH]

*The Flyers have a big big problem with allowing a whole lot of high-danger scoring chances, and they need to fix this pretty quickly if they’re going to turn things around. [BSH]

*NHL goaltenders are continuing to complain about their new, smaller equipment. Evidently a fair number of them are getting hurt – not badly, but hurt nonetheless – and the NHL doesn’t think this is reason to revert back. [Sportsnet]

*Aaaaand finally, a new BSH Radio, which you should listen to ahead of tonight’s game, so you can feel validation about your disappointment with your hockey club. [BSH]
