Thursday Morning Fly By: We love the Flyers, right?

*Let’s kick off on a high note here… have you been wondering what John Boruk thinks about the way the Flyers have redefined themselves under Scott Gordon? No? Well here it is anyway. [NBC Sports Philly]

*The Flyers once had a 35 game winning streak. Have you seen this, have you heard about this? It’s pretty wild. This is a fun look back on the guys that made it happen. [Philly.com]

*DGB on the teams that are under the most pressure to make a good move at the deadline. [The Athletic]

*In that vein, some bold – and, frankly, not bold at all – predictions for what will go down on deadline day. [ESPN]

*On NHL goaltenders, and how the prepare for a very unpredictable work environment. [AP]

*Lots of deadline day goodness in the latest edition of 31 Thoughts. [Sportsnet]

*New Flyperbole! In which the boys shut down the Shayne Gostisbehere haters once and for all. [BSH]

*And finally… did you guys know that the Flyers alumni are playing a charity hockey game on February 22? Well they are, and Broad Street Hockey is partnering with The Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation to raise money for their effort to renovate the Class of ‘23 rink at Penn for the Snider kids to use. We’re doing an exclusive donors-only episode of the podcast live from the event as well as a fun video from the event. They’re giving us locker room access, we’ll be talking to alums, it’s going to be super cool. It’s a great cause, so if you’d like to contribute, that would be awesome. Here is a link to our Patreon, every single cent we receive will go right to Snider.
