Thursday Morning Fly By: Win, but in French

Mandatory Credit: Bob Frid-USA TODAY Sports

*The boys are à Montréal ce soir, and this is a game they’re going to want to win. Because they can. And should. Here are some things from that loss in New York that they can take with them into la belle province. [Inquirer]

*Back to that Rangers game for a sec; the end was frustrating, mostly because the coach didn’t put the team in a position to win in overtime. Even more so because the coach, yet again, refused to speak to the media and answer for his choices. So Brad Shaw did instead. [BSH]

*Upside? “Moral victory,” if you will? The Flyers got damn close to beating the New York Rangers, something that has been eluding them for quite some time. [PHLY]

*In the first of a two part sit-down with the Inky, Flyers AGM Brent Flahr shared some things about Matvei Michkov, among other prospects you might be wondering about. [Inquirer]

*While we all have overtime front-of-mind… guess what everyone still thinks it is too short. [Sportsnet]

*And finally, as we head into the final weeks of the season, you may want to turn your attentions out West. The Eastern Conference might be fairly set, but the West is still a big scrambled mess. Will be fun to see how it shakes out. [TSN]
