*Ivan Fedetov’s year of military service is over and he spoke at a press conference yesterday on returning to his KHL team CSKA Moscow.

*As first reported by The Globe and Mail (which is paywalled), Nike has permanently ended their sponsorship of Hockey Canada. This comes after they put the relationship on pause in October in response to the allegations of sexual assault committed by eight members of Canada’s 2018 men’s world junior team. [SN]

*So the Flyers had to buy out Tony DeAngelo because the trade with the Hurricanes was on hold because maybe they’re pursuing Erik Karlsson but to do that they also need to move out Brett Pesce. But where to? [The Athletic]
