Tuesday Morning Fly By: It’s time to dish out judgments

*With all this time off, it feels like a good time to sit back and assess where this team is at the midway point of the season. Here at BSH, we’ve broken the team up into bits that we’ll be evaluating during the bye. First up: the centers. [BSH]

*Bill Meltzer is also doing some evaluating and handing out his mid-season awards for the team. [Flyers]

*The children are not free from our judgments either; let’s take a good hard look at how the Flyers’ prospects performed at the 2018 World Junior Championship. [BSH]

*So speaking of….Carter Hart. When can we expect him to be a part of our lives forever? Soon, one hopes. [NBC Sports Philly]

*Morgan Frost continues to be a killer, despite losing his regular linemate. [Courier-Post]

*Unbelievably, the Flyers are still in the playoff conversation. In a very tough division. Lucky for us, most of those tough teams are also having off seasons. [Philly.com]

*And finally, we talked a bit about this on this week’s episode of the BSH Radio weekly NHL show, but scoring is up this season. The league’s crackdown on slashing might be one reason, but it isn’t the only one. What do you think is doing it? [Washington Post]
