Tuesday Morning Fly By: Testing, again

*Another day another big test for Your Boys; this time they’ll be taking on the Tampa Bay Lightning who are, as you know, quite good. Before tonight’s game here’s a few takeaways from the last one. [Inquirer]

*No update on Jamie Drysdale as of the writing of these here links, but even if he’s hurt badly enough to be out for a while, patience is going to be key with this kid. [BSH]

*And if Drysdale’s hurt, the Flyers’ plans for the deadline should absolutely not change, not even a little bit. [BSH]

*The Flyers will need to play really, really well tonight to beat a team like the Bolts, but the fact is the Flyers are going to need to play really well from here out if the playoffs are the goal. [The Athletic]

*The probably won’t come as a surprise to anyone who has been a Flyers fan for any length of time, but his teammates say Sean Couturier has been acting like a captain for years now. [Inquirer]

*Hey remember how GMDB took on some bad contract to maximize his return on the Provy trade? (Cal Petersen, hello.) What if he did that again? [BSH]

*And finally, folks are expecting to do a lot of things between now and March 8. All the things, perhaps. But some things need to wait. And should wait, for that matter. [BSH]
