Tuesday Morning Fly By: Time to open the house

*Home opener day is here! Friendly reminder: if you are going to the game tonight, don’t forget that the start time has been moved up to 6 p.m. due to the Phillies game AND the international friendly soccer game being played at the Linc. It’s going to be nuts down there so give yourself plenty of time. Speaking of nuts…

*…Sean Couturier didn’t practice yesterday. Because he’s “banged up.” Allegedly nothing to do with his back. It’s hard not to feel panicked about this, you know?

*The Canucks have quite a few weapons up front, but Elias Pettersson is going to be the guy to watch tonight. [Sportsnet]

*The Flyers got themselves a new locker room and it’s preeeeetttttty sick. [The Hockey News]

*Well anyway, here’s a few takeaways from over the first weekend of this NHL season. [Sportsnet]

*If you were to re-do last year’s draft — from which most dudes aren’t even in the league yet — would you still have Cutter at five? Or would he move even higher? The Experts have some thoughts. [The Athletic]

*And finally, the Phantoms are back, and we had boots on the ground in Lehigh Valley to catch all the action and make some early assessments of what things look like on the farm. [BSH]
