WATCH: Claude Giroux plays Frogger with pucks, GoPro

Hockey is definitely one of the most visually beautiful sports out there. That’s not to take away from any other form of athleticism – it’s just that there’s something about the sound of skates cutting through ice, the speed, skill, and grace intercut with hard hits, physicality, and the occasional blood that all comes together to form something extremely visually appealing.

So what better sport than hockey to play around with GoPro? That’s what the NHL has been doing with its After Dark series – and they enlisted Claude Giroux’s help.

The coolest thing about all this is seeing everything from Giroux’s perspective as he tries to make the perfect pass – and then as he plays Frogger with pucks.

Lots of pucks.

So. Many. Pucks.

And he’s really, really good at it! Giroux successfully dodges a major onslaught – one that eventually includes a Gatorade bottle, glove, milk crate, other people’s sticks… And he still doesn’t let go of that puck.

Here’s a whole new appreciation for the skill, speed, and smarts G has. Sure, you won’t see that in an actual game scenario – but that doesn’t make it not the coolest thing ever.
