Public ceremony to honor Flyers owner Ed Snider will be held April 21 in South Philadelphia

The Flyers announced today that they will hold a public ceremony in remembrance of team owner Ed Snider on Thursday, April 21 at the Wells Fargo Center.

The event begins at 1 p.m. and doors will open at 11:30 a.m. It’s free.

Comcast Spectacor, the Philadelphia Flyers and the Snider Family invite fans and friends and to gather at the Wells Fargo Center on Thursday, April 21, and celebrate the life of Ed Snider. Father of the Philadelphia Flyers hockey club, family man, entrepreneur and philanthropist, Mr. Snider was a true visionary in the sports and entertainment industry, and a towering figure in the City of Philadelphia for more than 50 years.

The event begins promptly at 1 p.m. and is free and open to the public. Doors to the Wells Fargo Center will open at 11:30 a.m.
