*And 11 more players bite the dust. Have fun in Allentown, kids! [Flyers]

*Do you feel that Ivan Provorov is underrated? Or not respected? [NBC Sports Philly]

*We may have Braden Holtby to thank for the fact that Carter Hart is looking really, really good in preseason action. [NHL.com]

*And it looks like Hart might get his chance at being an AHL starter sooner than later, because Alex Lyon is out of commission for a whole month. [Flyers]

*Meltzer gives us a rundown of all the things we’ve learned from the first batch of preseason games. [Flyers]

*What’s cool about this preseason is it would appear that the kids are making it very hard for Ron Hextall and Dave Hakstol to screw this roster up. [NBC Sports Philly]

*Kids like Misha Vorobyev and Carsen Twarynski are making strong cases for roster spots, clearly outplaying the likes of Jori Lehtera and Dale Weise. [Philly.com]

*And apparently Yegor Zamula, who earned himself an ELC. [Flyers]

*In that vein, heading into the last batch of preseason games seems like a good time to step back and assess where things sit at the moment. [Philly Is Flyer]

*Some NHL teams are opting not to name a captain; is this indicative of a broader change in the way the NHL views leadership? [The Washington Post]

*Apparently NHL players are obsessed with coconut water? Who knew. [ESPN]

*And finally, a brand new Flyperbole for the weekend! We’re talkin’ mascots, fam. [BSH]
