Johnny did that hockey

Honestly, the Flyers weren’t all that bad today.

There was some General Sloppiness but overall they skated with and defended one of the most skilled and highest scoring teams in the league.

Of course, when it got to OT, the Flames carried play and when Philly did gain possession, a bad pass by Jordan Weal got taken the other way and deposited behind Carter Hart to send the Wells Fargo Center crowd home disappointed on Saturday afternoon.

But Travis Konecny ended a 13-game goalless drought, Hart made 29 saves, the second power play unit scored (!), and we all got to watch Johnny Gaudreau do Johnny Hockey stuff. I know I’ve been anti loser point because of my desire to acquire Jack Hughes or Kaapo Kakko at the draft in June, but I think the orange and black deserved this one.

Hey, at least they tried.
