Monday Morning Fly By: Someone check and see if the momentum is still alive

*We still have one more long day to way before our next game day, but here’s hoping the momentum that the Flyers built during their Western Canada sweep hasn’t diminished. The hockey, it was good. [CBC]

*And one of the best things about this little win streak (and one of the few bring spots during the losing streak, really) has been the play of Brian Elliott. [BSH]

*But now, the Flyers need to figure out how to win games at home. For all of our benefit, if you ask me. [Philly.com]

*There continues to be a spotlight on Dave Hakstol and his decision making, and this will likely continue. [NBC Sports Philly]

*We’ll be getting Radko Gudas back for tomorrow’s Leafs game, which should be a good thing. It all depends on which version of Gudas takes the ice: solid defenseman or crazy hot-head. [Philly.com]

*Anyhoo, let’s check in on the rest of the division. [Canes Country]

*We learned some things from the NHL Board of Governors meeting. First, the cap will be going up. Quite a bit. [AP]

*Secondly, a hockey team in Seattle is going to happen. Well, if anything, it’s incredibly likely at this point. [ESPN]

*The kids continue to crush in their respective leagues; Wade Allison had himself a pretty remarkable weekend. [Sons of Penn]

*German Rubtsov, for his part, is having a pretty great season overall. Taking a deep-dive into what he’s been doing up in New Brunswick is enough to get you excited about this kid. [BSH]

*And finally, Shayne Gostisbehere launched his very own charity effort last week and his first effort will benefit puppies and kitties. What a nice boy. [CBS Philly]
