Nolan Patrick diagnosed with migraine disorder

Finally, after weeks (it felt like months) of waiting for an injury update on Flyers center Nolan Patrick, the team announced today that he’s been diagnosed with migraine disorder and will be still listed as week-to-week.

The 2017 second overall pick has had concussion issues in the past, first suffering one in his rookie season, and one would assume this is something that can correlate to those head injuries. Obviously, this is something that isn’t an easy fix and he can just get a simple surgery on to fix.

As the update says, he won’t be with the team for the season opener in Prague, which to be fair is what we all expected. However, given the kind of injury, this is something that could be a nagging issue that he faces all season long. Any injury with the head was going to probably be worst case scenario, and sadly that’s what we got. Get well soon, Nolan.
