The Ducks canceled practice today “out of an abundance of caution” after forwards Nicolas Deslauriers and Derek Grant and a staff member were placed in the NHL’s COVID-19 protocol. Ryan Getzlaf was placed in protocol before the Ducks’ game Sunday.

*Good news out of practice yesterday was that the Flyers will be getting Scott Laughton and Carter Hart back tonight. Can’t hurt! [Inquirer]

*But then the bad news out of practice yesterday was that Ryan Ellis is not anywhere near close to coming back to the lineup. If he comes back at all this year:
Yeo says that Ryan Ellis is indeed out of COVID protocol, but Yeo says still no specific timeline for his return. Says they miss him a lot, and that it’s been a real frustrating time for Ellis. Admits he’s not making a lot of progress. Hopes that changes soon.
