Undrafted Free Agent
While Myers point total for the season has been exceptional thus far (3 goals, 6 assists), his possession stats aren’t so stellar. According to our own Brad Keller, he has a 45.26 CF% and -1.39 CF%Rel at 5 on 5 through 13 games.
Mark Friedman (D): 2 GP, 2 shots
2014 3rd Round Pick, 86th overall
Friedman’s points have come in bunches this season, but this weekend just didn’t happen to be one of them. He remains at 8 points (1 G, 7 A) through 13 contests.
German Rubtsov (C): 1 GP, 1 goal, 1 assist, 1 shot
2016 1st Round Pick, 22nd overall
Rubtsov scored another goal, his 6th of the season. He has 10 points in 12 games. He did not skate in Saturday’s game. Hopefully this isn’t any kind of extended stay given how well he’s played in his first AHL season.
Mikhail Vorobyev (C), 2 GP, 1 assist, 1 shot
2015 4th Round Pick, 104th overall
Vorobyev played his 4th and 5th AHL games of the season this weekend, picking up an assist in Friday’s game. He has 3 points (1 G, 2 A) since rejoining the Phantoms last week.
Carsen Twarynski (LW): 2 GP, 3 shots
2016 3rd Round Pick, 82nd overall
Twarynski has just 1 points (an assist) in 11 games this season. He’s now gone scoreless in 8 straight games.
David Kaše (RW): 2 GP, 1 goal, 3 assists, 1 shot
2015 5th Round Pick, 128th overall
I don’t think anyone thought Kaše would be having the season he has in his first season of North American hockey. He has 4 goals and 5 assists in 10 games. Yes, the phancystats aren’t spectacular, however scoring at this rate as a 21 year old in his first AHL season is pretty impressive.
Connor Bunnaman (C): 0 GP
2016 4th Round Pick, 109th overall
Bunnaman was a scratch for both games this weekend.
Carter Hart (G): 1 GP, 2 GA, 16 saves
2016 2nd Round Pick, 48th overall
He didn’t face a ton of shots, but Hart came away with his 3rd victory of the season on Friday. His SV% rose slightly to .883.
Notable Canadian junior performers this week:
Morgan Frost (C), Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds (OHL)
2017 1st Round Pick, 27th overall
More points! That’s what were are basically looking for from Frost this season. Well, that and establishing a better pace of play. Frost has 36 points (13 G, 23 A) in 21 games. Look at his goal from Saturday where…he somehow found a hole to score the goal.
Isaac Ratcliffe (LW), Guelph Storm (OHL)
2017 2nd Round Pick, 35th overall
The Guelph Captain gets some points this weekend after going 2 straight games with none. He now has 24 points (14 G, 10 A) in 19 games. Here is an easy PP goal he scored on Saturday.
Matthew Strome (LW), Hamilton Bulldogs (OHL)
2017 4th Round Pick, 106th overall
Strome nets his first goal in 5 games. He has 20 points (7 G, 13 A) in 19 games.
Maksim Sushko (RW), Owen Sound Attack (OHL)
2017 4th Round Pick, 107th overall
Remember that slow start that Sushko had? Well that’s pretty far back in the rear view mirror now. In his last 11 games he has 4 goals and 11 assists. After being a point-per-game player last season, he is finally catching up in hopes to eclipse that milestone this season.
Wyatte Wylie (D), Everett Silvertips (WHL)
2018 5th Round Pick, 127th overall
Wylie is turning out to be a ton of fun, huh? The 19 year old defenseman is in his third WHL season and has 19 points (4 G, 15 A) in 20 games this season. Wylie had 31 in 72 last season. You can probably bet that he surpasses that total…possibly even before the new year begins.
Egor Zamula (D), Calgary Hitmen (WHL)

Another case of a Flyers prospect getting off to a pretty slow start, but has since been on fire. Zamula has 3 goals and 8 assists in his last 12 games after having 0 points in his first 8 games.
Notable European performers this week
Ivan Fedotov (G), Toros Neftekamsk (VHL)
2015 7th Round Pick, 188th overall
- 11/6 – 1 GA, 18 saves
- 11/8 – 3 GA, 21 saves/
Fedotov was back in VHL action after dressing with his parent KHL club, but didn’t see action there. His SV% in the VHL this season is .929 in 10 games.
Euro Notes: SHL and other leagues took a break this week for tournament action. They’ll get their regular season’s back underway this week.
Notable collegiate performers this week
Wade Allison (RW), Western Michigan University
2016 2nd Round Pick, 52nd overall
- 11/9 – 1 goal, 1 shot, 4 PIM/
Wade Allison returns after missing the end of last season and the beginning of this season recovering from a torn ACL. He was having a Hobey Finalist-esque season with 30 points in his first 22 games as a sophomore. He scored an even-strength goal in the 2nd period (against Matej Tomek no less). Allisson didn’t play in Saturday’s game, likely because the Flyers and WMU are going to ease him back before he starts experiencing back-to-back games again.
Joel Farabee (LW), Boston University
2018 1st Round Pick, 14th overall
- 11/10 – 2 assists, 4 shots, 4 PIM, 1 for 3 FOW/
Points are good! Especially for that of this year’s 1st round pick. Farabee has 5 points (2 G, 3 A) in his first 7 NCAA games.
Tanner Laczynski (C), Ohio State University
2016 6th Round Pick, 169th overall
Laczynski returns from injury with a two-goal game. In his junior season, he is off to a great start with 7 points (4 G, 3 A) in 7 games. Laczynski has proven to be an amazing find for Hextall. Here is one of his goals.
Gavin Hain (C/W), University of North Dakota
2018 6th Round Pick, 174th overall
Hain has not seen action in a couple weeks now and didn’t play in either game this weekend for UND.
Jay O’Brien (C), Providence College
2018 1st Round Pick, 19th overall
O’Brien took a hit to the head last Saturday and didn’t play this weekend for Providence. He practiced and skated with the team, so maybe he won’t be out too long.
Brendan Warren (LW), University of Michigan
2015 3rd Round Pick, 81st overall
Warren had no points this weekend. Water is wet.
Noah Cates (LW), University of Minnesota-Duluth

No points for Cates, but his team did take down Colorado State in both games. Cates has 6 points (3 G, 3 A) in 10 games this season.

St. Ivany scored his first collegiate goal on Saturday! He has 3 points in 5 games to start his college career.

Tomek actually came into Friday’s game as cleanup, after the starter gave up 4 goals on 13 shots. Tomek has a .789 SV% in 3 games.
