With two days left before Flyers training camp starts, Ivan Provorov and Travis Konecny still do not have contracts
The clock is ticking, here is your daily update
Well folks, we are now two days away from the start of Flyers training camp and five days from the first preseason game against the Islanders. Travis Konecny and Ivan Provorov still do not have contracts for the 2019-20 season. Whispers from yesterday said things were moving in the right direction, but there are still no contracts.
This is the latest news:
Source: #Flyers and Provy were working on six-year deal. That may change after Werenski signed three-year contract. Provy is in South Jersey and working out, but he won’t sign for what Werenski received (three years at $5M per).— Sam Carchidi (@BroadStBull) September 10, 2019
In his article, Sam Carchidi says the following:
New Flyers coach Alain Vigneault said last week he had separate phone conversations with Provorov and Konecny and told them that, with a new coaching staff and a new system being installed, it was important for them to be at camp when it opens Friday in Voorhees.
Vigneault also said he understood that the players have earned the right to do what’s best for them.
So now we continue to wait. Do you think these will be done before camp starts Friday?
Will Provorov and Konecny have new contracts before Friday?
