Photo Gallery: Flyers vs Canadiens

The Philadelphia Flyers were back at the Wells Fargo Center on Tuesday evening following a thrilling win over the Penguins Sunday night. Their newest test was a battle against the Montreal Canadiens, the very team ahead of them in the chase to get back into the wild card race. Both teams are just a handful of points away from taking over the second wild card, which meant it was playoff hockey atmosphere in Philadelphia.

It was all Montreal to start, getting out to a 2-0 lead through two periods of play. The Flyers would get back into it after Sean Couturier notched his 30th goal of the season, making it back-to-back, 30-goal campaigns. But it wouldn’t be enough. Montreal would score on the empty net and take this one by a score of 3-1. The Flyers return to action on Thursday in Chicago.
