It’s a simple question: Do you like this thing? The Flyers have signed Shea Weber to an offer sheet. It’s reportedly 14 years in length and worth more than $100 million.
It’s risky in that the Flyers could lose four first round picks if Nashville declines to match the offer, but in that case, they’ll also add to their roster the best active defenseman in the NHL throughout the prime of his career. If Nashville does match, there’s no harm done. He’ll be a Predator until 2026 instead and the Flyers will lose nothing.
