BSH Radio reacts following a 3-2 OT victory over Toronto

On the night Hockey Hall of Famer Eric Lindros had his number 88 raised into the rafters alongside franchise legends Bobby Clarke, Bill Barber, Barry Ashbee, Mark Howe and Bernie Parent, Philadelphia fought back from a 2-0 deficit in the third period to top the Toronto Maple Leafs in overtime, 3-2, on Thursday night at the Wells Fargo Center.

Michal Neuvirth, making his first start since January 7 and only his second since November 28, stopped 29 of 31 shots and made several spectacular saves in the clutch to earn his fourth win of the season. Neuvirth also picked up an assist on the overtime winner.

Sean Couturier buried his 26th goal to end the game 18 seconds into OT, while Nolan Patrick made an excellent effort to score his third career goal to open the scoring 1:33 into the final stanza. Wayne Simmonds potted a short-handed goal on a feed from Valtteri Filppula off the rush about two minutes later to tie the game.

Check out the BSH Radio Facebook Live postgame video for Bill’s reaction to the thrilling ending, Neuvirth’s standout performance and the ceremony honoring Eric Lindros.
