On Light the Lamp, an Anaheim Ducks podcast, Cutter Gauthier said that his decision not to sign with the Flyers was a "personal matter between (himself) and his family and his agent." No specifics given.

But he did say that Kevin Hayes had "zero" to do with his decision.
