Today is the day! Flyers training camp has begun and Ivan Provorov is in attendance! Last night, just in the nick of time, Provorov signed a six year contract worth $6.75 million AAV. Generally, this contract has been regarded as a good one, we broke it down this morning. So while this is all exciting and fun and good … Travis Konecny does not have a contract and has not shown up to training camp.
So, how is that going?
Negotiations with the #Flyers and Konecny have ended for the night with no deal, per a source close to the situation.

Yeah ok that’s fine. Everything here is fine. Yesterday’s update looked at what the holdup could be, I remain hopeful that he will sign soon, especially now that Provorov has signed. The question of what exactly we have in Konecny is a complex one that really don’t have an answer, yet.
But, we have to be prepared for every possible scenario, which includes an extended hold out and a potential trade. Neither of these would be fun for me personally. Travis Konecny was born to be a Flyer, let us please get this deal done sooner rather than later.
We’re now in uncomfortable territory, one that only 22% of voters in our poll thought was the most likely to happen. Now the new question is: when do we think he will play?
When will Travis Konecny sign a contract?

During pre-season | 577 |
Before the start of the regular season | 383 |
other (trade, long term hold out, etc) | 336 |
