Let’s continue our daily countdown, shall we? We’ve been keeping a close eye on the Travis Konecny and Ivan Provorov contract situation all summer, and been providing daily updates beginning on Tuesday of this week. We are now one single day away from the start of training camp and four days from the first Flyers preseason game of the 2019-20 season and these two still don’t have contracts.
There’s a lot of chatter about it today though! We even looked at what would happen if Konecny holds out. Let’s take a look at what Uncle Bob has to say.
PHI and RFA D Ivan Provorov working hard today to try to finalize a contract. Three and six year deals both still on the table. Talks continue.

Provy has been working out at #Flyers’ facility in Voorhees. TK working out in Ontario. Flyers hope to sign them today. We shall see.

Good, Provorov has returned from Russia, that’s good. Konecny isn’t that far.
The crux of the problem seems to be PHI is basing its offer on the fact Konecny has averaged just under 15:00 TOI in his first three seasons but the player’s counter argument is that he’s amongst the better even-strength goal-scorers for his age/experience over last two seasons.
