Tuesday Morning Fly By: Chucky did two trades

*That’s a wrap on NHL trades for the season, and while many folks thought Chuck would do no things, Chuck did some things! First thing was re-signing Scott Laughton. [BSH] [NBC Sports Philly]

*Then we heard about Michael Raffl being sent to the Washington Capitals, who the Flyers play tonight. [BSH]

*People took the opportunity to point out that Michael Raffl was an underrated and important part of the Flyers for the last eight years but it seemed like people always appreciated his role on the team. [NBC Sports Philly]

*And then lastly, and perhaps bestly, Chuck sent Erik Gustafsson to Montreal. [BSH] [NBC Sports Philly]

*The move has, at least by some accounts, been praised as a good one by Habs GM Marc Bergevin. He added depth, they say. We thought that too! [The Hockey News]

*All in all it was a relatively quiet deadline day, which was to be expected with the flat cap situation. [ProHockeyTalk]

*Full rundown of the moves here, in case you didn’t see them all. [TSN]

*Anyway, the Flyers… so Jake Voracek. He’s been pretty good this season, despite everyone yelling about him all the time. [BSH]

*And finally, noted Good Hockey Coach Bruce Boudreau thinks we’ve got nothing to worry about long-term with Carter Hart. And by the look of the last few games, he seems to be on to something. [Inquirer]
