Tuesday Morning Fly By: Oh, do ya like trades?

*…well too bad, because Ron didn’t make any. The trade deadline came and went and the only move Hextall made was to take Johnny Oduya off of waivers. Which is, you know, whatever, but it’s another body in front of Travis Sanheim and that’s a little annoying. Anyhoo, here’s some stuff about the newest member of your favorite hockey club. [Flyers]

*Mark Alt was claimed by Colorado, so we don’t have to worry about him uh…not playing hockey for us anymore. [BSH]

*Oh yeah, there was a game last night too. And the Flyers won. AND THE FLYERS ARE IN FIRST PLACE IN THE METRO. What in the world RECAP!!!!

*The deadline day, as a whole, was a little on the boring side. Biggest move was Ryan McDonaugh heading to Tampa, which will make them a bit tougher in the playoffs. Check here to see if you missed any of the excitement.

*Oh, in addition to the Oduya pickup the Flyers did do one other thing yesterday: signing goaltender John Muse to a two-way NHL contract. [BSH]

*Anyhoo, back to the good stuff: Pascal Laberge, who had a very rough go of things after a very bad concussion a couple of seasons back, is heating up. That’s good to see. Prospects!! [NBC Sports Philly]

*Nolan Patrick had a bit of a slow start to the season is proving to be a huge asset to this team heading into the playoffs. What turned the season around for him? [BSH]
