Tuesday Morning Fly By: The results are in

*Guess we have to consider the Rangers relevant again, since they won yesterday’s second draft lotto. Gross, really. [BSH]

*As we mentally prepare ourselves for tomorrow’s Game 1, let’s look back at all the fun times the Flyers and Canadiens have had in the playoffs. [BSH]

*Meltzer took a trip down memory lane too! Great minds and such. [Flyers]

*Charlie’s got ten things on the matchup of the current version of these teams, and he doesn’t want you people getting too cocky. [The Athletic]

*As Charlie points out, special teams are really going to be the place where the Flyers can kill the Habs — if they take advantage. [BSH]

*The Nerds are pretty universally high on the Flyers in this series. Folks who didn’t pay much attention to the Flyers previously are noticing how good they are at some pretty important parts of the game. [Jack Han]

*By the numbers, they’re telling us the Flyers match up against the Habs pretty darn well. [The Athletic]

*Suddenly former Hab Nate Thompson seems a little more important, no? [Inquirer]

*Some seem to suggest that this series won’t be terribly exciting because it’ll be so one sided. We aren’t getting cocky though!!! [ProHockeyTalk]

*Periodic reminder that Sean Couturier is elite. [TSN]

*Alain Vigneault is keeping his playoff lineup decisions close to his impeccably tailored vest, so we don’t know yet if Shayne Gostisbehere won himself a spot in the Game 1 lineup. But he looked really good against the Lightning. Real good. [BSH]

*In fact there was a lot to like in that last round robin game, and it’s worth looking at. [BSH]

*The NHL announced yesterday that, through its most recent round of testing, the bubble remains Covid-free. It’s remarkable how well they’ve done this. So how have they done it so well? [ESPN]

*And finally… before the playoffs officially kick off, get in on our bracket challenge! It’ll be fun. So sign up. [BSH]
