BSH Radio reacts following a 4-3 victory over Detroit

We actually got a contentious, exciting in-conference contest out of a Wednesday Night “rivalry” game, as the weekly national broadcast saw the Philadelphia Flyers beat the Detroit Red Wings 4-3 at the Wells Fargo Center.

Philadelphia moved within two points of the New York Islanders for the final wild card playoff seed, overcoming a disastrous effort in their defensive zone through the first forty minutes to outlast a Detroit squad playing in the second half of a back-to-back (the Red Wings defeated the Islanders 6-3 on Tuesday night).

Sean Couturier set a new career-high for goal scoring, picking up his 16th of the season, the game-winner, in the third period. Brian Elliott was good enough, stopping 25 of 28 shots to earn his 14th win of the season.

Check out Bill’s Facebook Live Postgame for his reaction to Andrew MacDonald’s sliding routine, Robert Hagg scoring the first goal of his career, Doc Emrick actually referencing Philly fans throwing snowballs at Santa Claus, and what he’d give Ron Hextall and Dave Hakstol for Christmas.
