Wednesday Morning Fly By: Scratch your head

*The Flyers won! Against the Leafs! RECAP!

*Oh hey so John Tortorella really did go ahead and scratch Sean Couturier. That was a choice! [BSH]

*Coots, understandably, was very frustrated about the benching. [Inquirer]

*Also, apparently, frustrated by how he’s been treated generally. Which doesn’t seem great, honestly! [NBC Sports Philly]

*His agent came out with some comments that suggest the relationship between Coots and Tortorella has been strained for some time. NOT GREAT! [The Athletic]

*Charlie’s got some thoughts on the matter. Always worth reading Charlie’s thoughts. [PHLY]

*Anyway, some other stuff. Trading Sean Walker was definitely the right thing to do, but it, along with injuries, has totally borked the Flyers defense. Now they have to figure out how to get it together for the run to the ‘yoffs. [The Athletic]

*Ranking NHL centers into tiers, from franchise keystones to Just A Guy Taking Faceoffs. Have fun guessing where the Flyers’ guys ended up! [The Athletic]

*And finally, the GMs are still on their bullshit. More coach’s challenges, do you like this? [Sportsnet]

*Also maybe changing LTIR rules! Just what we’ve all been asking for. [TSN]

*And why not change the EBUG situation, one of the few genuinely fun things that the NHL does? Great stuff, gentlemen! [Daily Faceoff]
