Wednesday Morning Fly By: Well that game sucked

*In a season of Flys and Dies, last night was certainly A Die. It was a bad game. It’s been two bad games in a row. Really bad games. It’s, well, not ideal, and quite frankly incredibly disappointing given how well this team had been playing. Relive that game, if you dare. [BSH]

*Vigneault admitted yesterday that Carter Hart is fighting it right now, which is why he went with Elliott in last night’s game. Dude needs to play out of this funk though!!! [Courier-Post]

*We’re over ten games into the season now, which feels like a good time to acknowledge that, while the Flyers’ play has been troubling of late, Kevin Hayes has been friggin’ great for this team on the whole. [BSH]

*Travis Konecny, too. These guys are just flying so far this season, it’s great. [BSH]

*Another cool thing is that the Flyers’ current pool of prospects is so deep that we’re sending some of them to Reading. That’s wild. [Courier-Post]

*The NHL’s scheduling can be … less than ideal at times. For players, fans, and even the league itself. So, here’s one way to improve it. The Toews Schedule. [The Athletic]

*An early season front-runner for the Norris Trophy in the Flyers’ division? [TSN]

*Out west the Nashville Predators locked up Roman Josi for the next eight seasons with a cap hit of just over nine million dollars. That’s certainly a big one. [Sportsnet]

*And finally, take a listen to this week’s Flyers Forecast to see what lies ahead for the rest of this week. Hopefully things go better than they did last night. [BSH]
