It was worthy of mild outrage when Flyers defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere was not named to the 2016 World Cup of Hockey roster for the under-23 Team North America club back in March. But that’s been rectified now.
Ghost was named to the final roster for the team on Friday evening, and he will indeed be representing the Flyers at the tournament in Toronto this September.
Here’s the full Team North America roster. Again, to remind you, this team consists of players under 23 years old from Canada and the United States. Ghost joins fellow Flyer Sean Couturier on the roster.
