Eventually, a Flyers’ defenseman will play defense

Well, there’s the Philadelphia Flyers’ first loss of the 2018-19 regular season. Brian Elliott had some amazing saves, Andrew MacDonald and Christian Folin had forgettable nights, and James van Riemsdyk only played a period due to injury. It wasn’t, how you say, a good time. Here’s what I rambled about following tonight’s defeat:

  • The goalie interference on Elliott.
  • Lack of offensive pressure so far through two games.
  • Is the penalty kill actually good?
  • Is Shawny Hill actually Gritty?
  • Gudas being scratched in favor of Folin./
