*It is Indigenous People’s Day down here in America but up in Canada it is Thanksgiving weekend, and we hope all of our pals up there had a lovely one, filled with way, way too much food and little-to-no familial drama. Anyhoo, we’re kinda thankful Wade Allison is still with us. In case you missed it, he hit the waiver wire on Friday afternoon. [Inquirer] [NBC Sports Philly]
*We learned Saturday that he cleared and will be sent to Lehigh Valley. [BSH]
*Allison was one of the question marks still left on the roster, and with his waiving things get ever closer to finalized. [PHLY]
*Let’s talk a little bit about why they waived him, though. [BSH]
*Joel Farabee had some words of encouragement for Wade, which is quite nice to see. [NBC Sports Philly]
*Speaking of the Beez, if you had any doubt, you can set it aside: he’s 100% healthy and 100% ready to prove to the Flyers that he’s as good as we all think he is. [Inquirer]
*Like we said, there are still a couple of questions remaining, roster-wise. So who has really earned a spot? [The Athletic]
*There was a practice Saturday, and perhaps we can look at the lines John Tortorella was running to get some hints about the final outcome. [Flyers]
*Anyway, turning to guys that are definitely on this team: Scott Laughton. What should we expect from the team’s de-facto leader this season? [BSH]
*Noah Cates wants us to expect a little more offense from here this year. That’d be fun. [Inquirer]
*And finally, while we can still pay attention to things that are the Flyers… we ranked Tarantino movies. Everything is sports. [BSH]
