Tuesday Morning Fly By: What if none of this ever happened

*It’s “What if??” week on the SB Nation network, did you notice? Anyhoo we kicked off the week by asking what if Eric Lindros hadn’t been traded after the 2000 season? [BSH]

*We did get a bit of Actual Hockey News yesterday, as it was announced that the American Hockey League has decided to cancel the remainder of this season. [BSH]

*Even with their season cancelled, there are a few AHL guys that will need to stay battle-ready in case the NHL season comes back. [Inquirer]

*In fact, all of the players need to be ready to go. Which is hard, because when they will actually go is completely unknown. [ProHockeyTalk]

*This cancellation certainly affects the NHL and its teams and will impact how some things move forward once play resumes. [The Hockey News]

*How’s about an NWHL team in Philly? That’d be pretty fun eh? [NBC Sports Philly]

*You may not have known this, but James van Riemsdyk is playing a pretty important role in the discussions about how the league moves forward this season. [The Athletic]

*And there are still, well… all of the decision to be made. And the one that seemed to have been made already — the early draft — is still not a sure thing. [ProHockeyTalk]

*There are so many things that need to be decided, though, and they’re all necessarily dependent on how the others are decided. [ESPN]

*DGB on the single biggest upgrade each team has ever made. [The Athletic]

*And finally, a couple of Flyers are up for a Fan’s Choice Award! Go vote for them! Because why wouldn’t you?! [NBC Sports Philly]
