Wednesday Morning Fly By: Just as we all predicted

*Well the first of this week’s late night games had a little bit of excitement before it even started, with Sean Couturier getting back into the lineup after missing a couple of games due to injury, and that lead to Morgan Frost being scratched. Again. Anyhoo, that sure was a hockey game, huh? RECAP!

*Related, Charlie asks the question in all of our minds: what exactly are we DOING HERE with this Frost nonsense? [PHLY]

*The Flyers’ power play continues to be a big problem for this team, but they are apparently not panicking about it. Yet, anyway. [Inquirer]

*We’ve been saying for weeks now that, while the team might not be better than last year, the vibes are better than last year. Obviously that could change, but right now? Vibes are pretty good. Some will say that is owed to John Tortorella’s Culture Building Program. [The Athletic]

*The Flyers continue to give us material for our Flyers Fight Report, so we’re going to keep bringing them to you. [BSH]

*Folks are still having fun (debatable, actually) with the NHL’s new wealth of publicly available tracking data, and it turns out that a lot of stuff isn’t available to you and I because it might… embarrass the player. That’s… something. [ESPN+]

*Related, that data’s been used to try and determine just how important it is for an NHL player to be “fast”. [The Athletic]

*And finally, a brand new Flyperbole dropped for you yesterday, so please to enjoy! [BSH]
