Now that the dust has settled on the Cutter Gauthier trade and all the instant reactions, I wanted to dig into something that I heard a lot of Flyers fans say or imply in the immediate aftermath: that the possibility of Gauthier refusing to play for the Flyers because he was a Penguins fan growing up was silly and that they, in turn, would play for the Pittsburgh Penguins if given the opportunity.
Regardless of whether or not this was the reason, it got me wondering about these specific fan reactions. I have thought about this before and was reminded of it again: Would I play for the Penguins if given the opportunity?
